Welcome to Fit Baby Steps. I started this website as a way to connect with people who are working to get healthy and to share some of the things that have worked for me. I don’t claim to be an expert, I just am someone who likes to encourage others.
I was pretty active and healthy until I had kids. I had two kids back to back and it just a long time for my body to recover from 18 months of being pregnant within a span of 2 years.
To top it off, I was not motivated to get healthy. It actually isn’t that I wasn’t motivated, I just felt like I was weak. I saw people around me exercising and making healthy decisions and I just felt like I could never be mentally strong to do that.
I have lost a total of 20 pounds now. I attribute much of this to healthier eating and weightlifting. At this point, I am only looking at inches lost rather than pounds lost. While I am losing inches monthly, my weight remains the same because I am lifting so much doing Les Mills Pump.
Here is my progress so far. I wish I had a picture of my at my starting weight. Unfortunately the picture on the left is about 15 pounds later. But the picture on the right is me now. I still have a ways to go, but I am so excited about this journey.
