I am so incredibly proud of one of our challengers, Shana, who really crushed it in our group.

In fact, I was on a call with her last week and, I know this sounds creepy, but I couldn’t stop staring at her arms! This girl got RIPPED! I had a chance to chat with her and ask her some questions about her success and am so excited to share some of her tips!

What Motivated You to Start our 21-Day Challenge?

I was tired of feeling tired and chasing one fat burner after another to loose my belly fat that I could not get rid of, even working out and eating semi healthy! The motivation and inspiration comes from working hard along with everyone else in the group to do my best for myself and to try to inspire others to do the same, and show them that you can exercise and eat healthy even at 53 and get results that are amazing. I have had doctors tell me when I said I could not loose my belly fat that it was just my age and pretty much just accept it. Well, I go back to my doctor on Thursday and can’t wait to see what she has to say about the 18 lb loss, not to mention all the inches!

How Has The Group Been Helpful for You?

The group has been a huge inspiration and motivation for me to not only get healthier myself but has given me a great desire to help others see they can do it too.

What Workouts Did You Do?

21 Day fix and Les Mills pump.

Did you drink Shakeology during the challenge? If so, what impact did it make (if any)?

Every single day! [It made a] Huge difference in my cravings. Don’t really have [cravings] anymore, skin is healthier, no digestion problems anymore, more energy, just all around feel better, my hair is not only thicker and healthier, I swear I don’t see as much grey hair and I am not having to color as much!!

Can You Tell Me a Little About Your Nutrition During the Challenge?

Since I started the 21 Day fix and Shakeology it has just been so easy to eat the right portions. I already knew what foods were healthy basically, but was overeating some of the healthy things and not eating enough of others. I ate too much dark chocolate and was always craving more. The Shakeology has taken care of cravings. I love Autumn ‘s acorn squash recipe (from the 21 Day Fix), [and the group’s] burrito bake and crockpot lasagna [recipes], I eat a lot of salads with chicken and fish, and we love sautéed onion, colored peppers and chicken.

Do You Have Any Special Tips for Others?

I don’t really have any strategy except to make sure I have plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in my house, I try to keep lean ground turkey, chicken and beef, jasmine brown rice and chicken. If I have these things I can make a healthy meal. I also try to cook enough to always have leftovers.

I guess I would say most of all people have to really ready to make a change and be willing to put in the work to make that change. There is no magic; it is just the will to want to be better.

Here are some of the recipes that Shana has made. She posts some AMAZING meals over on her page, Shana Gets Fit. I highly recommend checking it out!
